Try Showtime

Your laptop becomes an AudioVista cinema.

Try the full AudioVista cinema experience with your laptop and phone. Play the movie on your laptop, which temporarily becomes an AudioVista cinema. Then open the AudioVista app on your phone to access the local audio and listen through your headphones.

The controls on this page are not yet connected to the working AudioVista cinema experience.

  1. Play the movie on your laptop

Start the cinema experience on your laptop and follow its location setup. Your laptop is now a temporary AudioVista cinema. Play the movie with its sound coming through the laptop speakers.

  2. Open AudioVista on your phone

Access the local audio for your temporary cinema in the AudioVista app. Listen through headphones while the movie plays on your laptop. Keep your phone where it can hear the movie so the audio description can synchronize.

  3. Finish and clear

When you finish watching, end the cinema session and clear its temporary location. Wait for confirmation that the temporary audio area has been removed.

Finished watching? Clear your temporary cinema location.

Pausing the movie or closing a tab does not remove its temporary local audio area. That area can continue to make AudioVista offer theater or live audio. Removing the temporary cinema area lets your next location check return to the places around you.

How Showtime works

The soundtrack is the cue.

Audio fingerprinting matches the sound of the movie to its accessibility track. Location awareness helps AudioVista find participating theaters and offer the relevant listening experience.
